This is the main distributor irrigation tunnel in left Sele, constructed during the fascist era. It is necessary for irrigation of the agricultural areas of the Valle del Sele.
In the year 2008, there was a partial collapse and it was necessary to perform repairs.
These works consisted, as a project, in the creation of a reinforced concrete shell on the vault and on the lateral walls, in such a way as to create a containment ring of the original structure.
The greatest difficulty was in the cramped conditions and considerable length of the pipe (several kilometres).
Our company has proposed and implemented an operating system for casting a self-compacting concrete mixer based on hydraulic and bentonite binders, Intobeton MC with rapid hardening and a slightly expansive action produced by us and supplied to automate the process - making it faster and cheaper.
